Blowdown Tanks
Wessels type BDT boiler blowdown tanks are designed to reduce temperature and pressure of the blowdown discharge from the boiler. This equipment is essential because it is undesirable to discharge the boiler blowdown directly to a sanitary sewer.
Blowdown tanks are:
- Manufactured to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards, the function of a blowdown tank is to allow undesirable discharge from the boiler to be discharged directly out of the system.
- Working pressures to 125 PSI
- Manufactured in over 40 sizes based on inlet/outlet and venting design requirements.
- Engineered for steam systems from 20 to 800 PSI, and pressure ratings to 300 PSIG.
